Anchored Garden Bench Seat
A very popular garden bench seat that is both modern in design whilst still looking like an old rustic wooden bench seat. There is a lot of hard work required to trench out these railway sleepers so that they fit together like Lego, but once done and screwed together it is a very solid piece of outdoor garden furniture.
A normal wooden bench seat has two legs but in this unique design the garden bench seat has only one upright. Assembling the seat takes a fair bit of digging to get the anchored sleeper 600mm into the ground but once done the design seems to tease the laws of physics for such heavy seating.
The sloping back on the wooden bench seat is angled deliberately to make sitting more relaxed. Even though it is entirely made from chunky railway sleepers the ergonomics of this seat still make it comfortable.
